Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how DataVeda Technologies (“DataVeda”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use Morning Desk at dataveda.in (the “Site”). By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

Account information. When you sign up or sign in, our authentication provider (Clerk) collects your email address and, if you provide it, your name. We receive this from Clerk to identify your account and manage access to member features.

Usage & analytics. We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand aggregate traffic to the Site — pages viewed, referrers, and approximate location by country/region. This is designed to be privacy-friendly: it does not use cookies or track you individually across sites.

Financial/payment information. We do not currently collect any payment information. The Site has no paid tier as of this writing.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account, and to show you member-only content once signed in.
• To send you product updates and market-related communications by email, where you have an account with us. You can ask us to stop these at any time (see “Your Rights” below).
• To monitor and improve the Site's performance and content, using aggregated, non-identifying analytics.
• To maintain the security and integrity of the Site.

We do not use your data to serve third-party advertising, and we do not sell your personal information to anyone.

3. Cookies & Similar Technologies

Our authentication provider (Clerk) sets a session cookie so you stay signed in between visits. This is necessary for the Site to function and isn't used for advertising or cross-site tracking. Vercel Web Analytics does not set cookies. We don't use third-party ad or tracking cookies.

4. Third-Party Service Providers

We use a small number of trusted infrastructure providers to run the Site, each of which processes data on our behalf under their own privacy and security practices:

• Clerk — authentication and account management.
• Vercel — hosting and privacy-friendly web analytics.
• Upstash — database storage for account and subscriber records.

None of these providers is authorized to use your data for their own marketing purposes.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account and subscriber information for as long as your account is active, or until you ask us to delete it. Aggregate analytics data (which doesn't identify you individually) may be retained longer to understand trends over time.

6. Your Rights & Choices

Depending on where you're located, you may have rights to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data, and to opt out of email communications from us — consistent with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and similar laws elsewhere. To exercise any of these, contact us at the email address below and we'll act on your request within a reasonable time.

7. Data Security

We rely on industry-standard security practices from our infrastructure providers (encrypted connections, access-controlled managed services) to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your data using reasonable technical and organizational measures.

8. Children's Privacy

The Site provides market and financial information and is not directed at, or intended for use by, anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as the Site evolves. We'll update the “Last updated” date above when we do. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
